    As a Linux System Administrator Cloud (m/f) at plista, you work in an essential area of our company and support the development of our server structure and infrastructure together with your colleagues. You take on your own area of responsibility and alternate on-call service coverage with your colleagues so that our server operations run seamlessly.

    Your Tasks:
    • Administration of external server network (web architecture)
    • Removal of critical componetns to computation clouds
    • Setup-automation of critical components via Puppet
    • Monitoring, operating, and troubleshooting our technical infrastructure
    • Long-term concept development and planning for new solutions, technologies, and applications
    • Configuration and development of internal monitoring (Nagios, Munin, Graylog)
    • Collaboration with our developers for process optimization
    • Participation in on-call service to maintain operational procedures

    Your Profile:
    • Experience with Cloud Technologies like Amazon EC2 or Google Compute Engine
    • Ecperience with highly available web architectures and load balancing
    • Completed university studies, preferably in the area of computer science, and/or completed professional training as application development IT specialist
    • 2-3 years relevant professional experience
    • Very good knowledge of Linux/Unix (Debian/Ubuntu); Bash/Ruby/PHP would be an advantage
    • Knowledge in the following areas would be an advantage:
      • Puppet, automatic configuration, and deployment
      • Varnish, HAProxy, load balancing
      • NoSQL, Redis, MySQL, flume
      • Nagios, Munin and Graylog as well as graphite, statsd, collectd
      • Profiling of applications for trouble shooting and fault finding
    • Enjoy complex systems with above-average traffic volume
    • Excellent initiative, strong team skills, reliability, and accuracy even under pressure
    • Open to new challenges and enjoy finding an unconventional solution to the problem
    • Fluent in German, both spoken and written would be an advantage
